Saving a source means trusting us with it. Here is an overview of how it is handled. The privacy policy contains the full provider, storage and retention details.

Where your content is stored

Saved items and notes use a database assigned to your account. Supporting files, generated audio and other service data use additional storage. The privacy policy describes the services involved and what each processes.

How encryption is used

Application content and metadata are encrypted before storage where the applicable system supports it. Keys are held as managed secrets with restricted access and are not exposed to client applications.

How processing providers use content

Some features send relevant content to providers to produce transcripts, narration, explanations or answers. Our arrangements require no training on user content. Processing and retention details vary by provider and feature.

Personalization you can inspect

You can view the entries in your understanding profile in Settings and remove them. The profile is designed to hold labels and weights rather than the text of your saved sources. Removing an entry takes effect in the profile used to personalize your experience.

What came in, and taking it back

Settings has one place, Integrations, for what enters and leaves your Library. It lists the routes items arrived by, with a count beside each, and lets you withdraw what a route added without closing the route itself. What you saved yourself carries no withdraw control: it stays yours to keep.

Exporting and leaving

Export is available on every plan. The exact contents depend on the feature and its technical limitations. Export the data you want to keep before deleting your account, and contact us if something you need is missing.
