Omphalis vs NotebookLM
Two ways to work with your sources.
NotebookLM is now called Gemini Notebook. Google announced the new name in July 2026. We use the familiar NotebookLM name below.
NotebookLM and Omphalis both let you ask questions about sources and follow citations back to them. NotebookLM also offers several ways to study the material. Omphalis puts reading, explanations, notes and narration together around the source you have open.
