Triple-tap your headphones (or use their skip-back control, or the button in the app) and Snipd saves a snip: the audio clip, the transcript with speaker names, and a written summary of the moment, typically the last 60 seconds you heard. The episode keeps playing and a short beep confirms it. It works from CarPlay, Android Auto and Apple Watch, and headphone snips are on the free plan.

Omphalis is not a podcast player, and it is not built for capture on the go. It is for when you are back at a screen with an episode worth working through: add the episode, open its transcript, find the passage by its timestamp or its section, then highlight it and write your note beside the words that prompted it.

Snipd gives you full episode transcripts with speaker identification that you can read along with and search, chapters it generates for each episode, and an episode summary before you press play. In the transcript you can highlight a word to look up its definition or translate a section, and on Premium you can ask questions about an episode and get back relevant excerpts with timestamps.

Omphalis opens the episode as a reading page: speaker labels and timestamps on the transcript, and a section map beside it so you can see the shape of a two-hour conversation and jump to a part. Explanations (Source, Define, Expand) open beside names, studies and ideas the speakers mention, few rather than everywhere, and you can select your own phrase and choose Learn more. Ask answers with citations you can follow back to the passage. Chapters appear only when the source itself declares them.

Highlights and notes stay attached to the passage in the transcript, and the Marks rail and the Library Marks list reopen that passage in the episode.
